During wedding season, I generally don’t get to spend as much time with the kids as I’d like as we travel most weekends. Don’t get me wrong… I love the opportunity to see and get to work in new and interesting places all the time ~ but I do miss the kiddos! This weekend we decided to bring them along, and Chad just hung out with them while I photographed Friday’s wedding in St. Charles. After we finished up a family session on Saturday morning, we did some fun stuff around St. Louis the rest of the day, ate a great lunch at O’Charley’s in Kirkwood with the best waiter EVER – (his name is Phillip if you happen to go) then went to the Magic House and Grant’s Farm. On the way home, we made a little detour to Meramec Caverns to get one of 24 different flavors of ice cream and check out their camping/canoeing rates. I hope I spelled fu manchu right, I did look it up but only found directions on how to grow a good one. Don’t think I’ll be needing those 🙂

Shane doesn’t appear on the blog as often as Ashley. He’s 14 and pretty much over the whole picture thing for the most part, but I got this one yesterday right before she got ice cream all over his arm (which made him soooo happy!)
